Wensum Social Scene - TR ACTION February 2026

Mark Winter writes:

Hi All, firstly I would like to take this opportunity to thank Anne Hill for her time creating the magazine reports for the last few years.

October saw Two Wensum members successfully complete the RBRR. Congratulations to Peter Ewart with son Henry in his TR3a who, on their first attempt, not only completed the journey but managed to change two alternators on route. Chris Spinks also completed the RBRR in his trusty TR7 with his Nephew Richard.

November’s meeting at the BIH was kindly organised by Phil and we saw a presentation from Archoil Automotive additives. This suited the more technical members of the Wensum group and gave us an insight into petrol and diesel additives and their benefits. Many thanks to the MD Andy for his time preparing the presentation and answering any questions we brought up on the night or which had been sent in previously.

He offered to work with the group to develop an additive more suited to the older car market, if you wish to contact Andy this is his email.

Over the past year, the WhatsApp group has been very active with members asking and answering questions which has helped many save time and receive valuable advice.

Another thank you must go to Geoff Timms for driving the group forward in IT, helping the groups profile on the new SheepCRM system.

Many enjoyed the discounted tickets at the NEC for the Classic Motor show while others took the opportunity to service and work on their cars to ensure 2026 is an eventful one.

The Wensum group, like many have enjoyed the Christmas period. A fantastic meal at the Railway Armes, North Elmham allowed everyone the opportunity to celebrate together in between two sittings. Thanks to the staff providing excellent service on the day, the committee for the organisation and Nikki for running the raffle with the Wensum group generous in their donations raising £130.

A new year drive to blow away the cobwebs of the festive season is now required.

This completed a busy year for the members and a very challenging time for the committee.

Time for the Wensum group to move forward and plan for 2026, ideas are flooding in on the WhatsApp page while the Google calendar has already been produced and the link can be found on the WhatsApp 02/11/25.

Our evening meeting is held at the Bird in Hand Wreningham , at 7pm on the 2nd Monday of each month.

The Whitwell Station meeting is on the 4th Tuesday of each month at 12oclock onwards
