Allan, Andy M, Brian, Reg & Irene (Birthday boy!), Andy H, Roger & Martin F.  A small select bunch due to many members being away on overseas tours. Allan opened the meeting by greeting the few; we all wished Reg a Happy Birthday.

What have we done?:

Breakfast Run, Saturday 12 September
Robert organized an excellent breakfast run from the Griffin at Swithland. Brian Hardy has reported as follows: Ten of us met up at the Griffin Inn, Swithland for a hearty breakfast. The pub was large, old and splendid. Steve Lambley left us after the grub, so that left nine, in 5 cars. Andy H with Jennie, and Steve T with son Toby, exited the car park first – and we didn’t see them again till the end! That left Robert and Ann, Del, and Brian and Diljit (in MX5!) to saunter across country to the A47, and at Morcott to cut across to Rutland Nursery. A pleasant drive. Robert had arranged special parking at the nursey overlooking Rutland Water. We had drinks, eats and ice creams in a wonderful setting. Thank you Robert for organising.

Breakfast runs are certainly popular and I think we should try to hold one every month during
the driving season.

A number of the Group visited Shuttleworth with TSSC. Participants included Graham & Brian (TR6), Martin (TR6), Matthew(TR7)  & Steve Tully (TR6). Apologies to anybody I have missed out I think there were more attendees. 

Andy M went to the local tip in his Stag ( did you leave it there?) Andy H went for a blast around Rutland Water.

Hopefully with so many people being away on trips this month we will have a number of
reports for next month (Please).

What is Coming up?

Apparently the Bond Equipe club are having a meet at the Mill on the Soar and we are invited to join them for breakfast on the 27th . If you are interested please contact Brian Hardy.

We have all been invited to help celebrate Irene’s big birthday on the 27th September. Numbers to Reg please.

Our Suffolk Weekend takes place on 9 th -12 th October. If you are interested in joining us and have not yet booked your rooms please contact the White Lion Hotel in Aldeburgh. We are booked to eat in at the hotel on the Friday evening. Further details have already been
circulated but if in doubt contact Allan W.

There was a brief discussion about the ‘Last’ run on 25 th October. The point was made that with all the speed cameras and traffic on the route to Wells it is no longer the fun run it was (not that we condone speeding). A suggestion of Chatsworth was made. Thoughts for next months meeting (15 th October) please.

Andy H & Steve T have been putting together a Breakfast run starting at Thurlaston Garden Centre. More details to follow.
