Three cars from Kennet Valley Group headed to Malvern for a thoroughly enjoyable day visiting the famous Morgan Motor Company factory.

Nestled beneath the beautiful Malvern Hills, the factory has been hand-building sports cars for well over a century, and the guided tour offered a fascinating insight into how traditional craftsmanship continues to blend with modern engineering.

Watching the skilled craftsmen at work was a real highlight. From the beautifully shaped ash wood frames to the hand-formed aluminium body panels and final assembly, it was remarkable to see just how much of each Morgan is still built by hand. The pride, attention to detail and passion shown throughout the factory were evident at every stage of production.

For many of us, seeing the famous ash frame construction up close was particularly memorable. In fact, I have now started my own Morgan journey albeit on a much smaller scale with a genuine piece of Morgan ash frame as a souvenir to remind Jason of a great day out!
