Drive It Day at New Manor Farm - 26 April 2026

A bright sunny day drew about 15 of us out to the Somerset countryside, and as we live over quite a large area, and some of us don't enjoy being part of a classic car convoy we all made our own way to the southern end of Chew Valley Lake. There was plenty of car discussion by our cars before and after breakfast including, that unusual Triumph Herald 13/60 in the car park, TR side screen cylinder head removal, TR6 ventilation systems, Lancia suspension bushes, MG V8s, and all sorts of other matters in the cafe including farming, well it is a popular time for calving. The cafe did well, particularly as we told them there would only be seven of us, great coffee and rolls/breakfasts as always.
