Throughout January and February, swathes of snowdrops blanket the grassy spaces at the Weir Garden creating a speckled carpet of white along the banks of the River Wye. The Weir Garden is well-known for its spring flower displays, with crocuses, primroses, and the occasional iris accompanying the scattering of snowdrop early in the season, before giving way to the daffodil displays in March.
Assembling at the Ludlow Food Centre at 10:00 am, or earlier if you want coffee/breakfast first, we will make our way to the Weir Garden via the back road to Hereford - ivia Leintwardine and the A4113/A4110 etc. After spending 1.5 hours at the Gardens, we will make our way up the A49 to the Salwey Arms at Woofferton for lunch.
