KVG CHRISTMAS LUNCH

KVG enjoyed their Xmas Lunch at Goring & Streatley Golf Course, an excellent meal was had by all as well as lots of memories of 2025, a slide show of KVG 2025 adventures ran whilst everyone ate.

The obligatory raffle was held with Jackie & John Edmonds winning the star prize of a hamper of car cleaning accessories, strangely and coincidentally, Phil Dryden won the last prize, a pack of walnuts ;).

BRIGHT SPARK AWARD

This award is given to KVG members who have 'gone above and beyond' in their TR or for the benefit of KVG Group or members was given to the car that made the longest foreign trip this in 2025. The red TR3 covered 1,470 miles without missing a beat. Down to Le Mans then on to Annecy, returning via Fontainebleau and Giverny. It delivered 35mpg and didn’t require any oil or water. The car couldn’t make it to the lunch, but owners Robert and Yvonne were presented with the trophy by previous winner Emrhys Barrell. Well done to all three!

On the evening of the lunch, KVG members Duncan & Christine Bradley and Phil Horsley, joined up with West Berkshire Classic Car Club in the classic vehicle parade at the Victorian Extravaganza up Hungerford High Street, 10 classics follow the Scottish pipers and Carol Singing up the street displaying to large crowds lining the pavements amongst the Xmas stalls and Fun Fair ride, there were indoor and outdoor markets to view and of course seasonal foods to enjoy.
