The pleasure of group trips
Junes White Rose Outings
June has been a busy Month, starting with our Lakes tour, and then three days in Lincoln for our International, finishing with a day at Jeff and Barbara's lovely home and the Thornes Park car show.
We had fourteen members all enjoying two nights in the "Lincoln Hotel" and the International in the Show ground. Some time spent around Lincoln, as a group seeing the many sites and enjoying several group meals, in the lovely sunshine, proved to be all we could wish for, on one of our outings. Sunday had several roads closed for a run that kept our cars in the Hotel car park. This allowed us to see the Castle and the Magna Carta kept there, as well as the Victorian prison cells, and all armour on show.
It will be a shame not to have these International meetings, but we will all try to still have these days away as a group, to keep us all together.
We were all invited to Jeff and Barbara's home for the afternoon, and then going to Thornes Park car show in the evening as a convoy of our TR cars. This show always has a lot of different cars, and Paul brought his recently completed TR2 to show us all.
This warm weather is giving us no excuses, not to have our cars out of their garages, and used as they were meant to.
