Wharfedale Spring Clean Run May 15th

April is our usual month for the Spring Clean Run, but due to various other circumstances we pushed it into May. Unfortunately this meant we fell into the start of holiday periods and other events that members are involved in.

Which, all in all meant we had 5 cars on the run, but no matter the weather was good, and we had a great route. Meeting at Keelham Farm shop just outside Skipton, from there we headed to Gargrave, turned left in the centre, and headed into the country aiming for Bolton By Bowland, then onto Slaidburn, turning right at the war memorial in Slaidburn then heading into the Trough Of Bowland. We then turned left heading for Wray, skirted Kirby Lonsdale, a stop to look over Barbon Dale, fabulous, then a quick comfort stop in Dent, then onto our destination the Fat Lamb Inn in Ravenstonedale for lunch. The Fat Lamb is known as a classic / sports car haunt, and when we arrived there was a group of Lotus cars there, I don't know what the terminology is for a group of Lotus cars, Loti maybe?

A great day out with some fabulous scenery, so good we might just have to do it again.
