Friday meals out
Anne Norman and Gerry Foulger had worked hard to identify venues and times to create 5 Friday drive outs and optional meals for he club (see attached sheet)
This was discussed and due to booking availability we changed a venue at the Gunton arms to the Pigs at Edgefield.
The third venue, The Crown, has the opportunity to organise a visit to a musical collection prior to the meal ( Anne Norman will investigate)
All tables and booking of food to be completed by members themselves.
Events were discussed to add to the events list from Mike and Richard, events list to be placed on WhatsApp and the TR Register Wensum page.
(Graham will ask the TR Register if this page could be simplified to make it easier to locate, A link will be placed on the WhatsApp page for members to use.
The Bird in hand prefers us, as members, to attend the pub in the meeting room. They are happy to accommodate the Club. Keep booking individually if you wish to eat, stating you are a part of the TR Wensum group. Let Richard know roughly the numbers attending.
Tony would like to follow up the low WhatsApp participation and will need a membership list to do this (This will be provided by Graham Monday the 20th)
Members are obviously allowed to raise forthcoming events to the committee and therefore this will be discussed at the meetings or on the committee WhatsApp page and possibly become a committee endorsed event.
Group leaders and Area representatives meeting was discussed to highlight the 4 events created (as mentioned by David in the February meeting at the Bird in hand). These will be included to the events list and be discussed to possibly become committee endorsed events.
Gerry is currently looking at a possible weekends or week events away and he will review the calendar and look at options, then come back with more details.
Lunch out with an added twist of a gift to be organised by Gerry called an economy run ( details to follow)
Last minute drives out can be publicised on WhatsApp by individual members to gain support whenever applicable.
“Sandringham Pageant of motoring”was discussed
Pole position parking £10 + passengers
TSSC has invited us and other triumph clubs at a discounted £10 including the driver.
The TR Register has a club stand discount available but money needs to be organised by one person! and therefore this year we will go through TSSC unless previously booked.
Continuous updates to events will be added to our list each month or when decided by the committee.
The committee will endorse a selection of events so the members know that there will be a good attendance (Graham to review the list and select
Appropriate events.
Coronation run to be organised for the 8th of May, individual small runs around the county to finish at the Bird in Hand for the meeting (this will be discussed with the Pub management) if problematic then another option to be discussed.
Group accounts to be published before April by John.
Assets to be listed and confirmed, then opened up to members for the option to use with a possible deposit.
Ann Hill to organise a quiz at the next Bird in the hand meeting, as this is the last dark night before the spring evenings.
50th anniversary event to be discussed, further researching of dates and possibilities will take place (this is an event task for all the committee)
A Questionnaire had been drafted by Tony as an option to send out to all members although this will be discussed further.
The Wensum magazine will be re-established as a Yearly publication and will contain the TR Registers Wensum publications, meeting minutes, trips and build blogs (final details to be assessed) Iain to send Mark the details he has and then a format can be discussed further.
Meeting closed at 13:00
Next Committee meeting is to be held at the same venue on Friday April 28th 17:30
