Charles Clark Classic Rally

The 27th Charles Clark Classic Car Rally took place on a very hot Sunday 10th July, this years event raising just over £1500 for East Anglian based charity Ormiston Families.

The event started at The Goat Inn, Skeyton near Aylsham and covered around 80 miles which varied from narrow country lanes to flowing A roads. Many entrants chose to pause for a picnic lunch on the green at Great Massingham, before proceeding via Swaffham and Shipdham to the finish and prize-giving at Brisley Cricket Ground, where refreshments, including an excellent selection of home made cakes, were available.

Only three TRs (TR2, TR3A, TR4A) took part amongst the eighty strong entry, with the marque also being represented by a GT6, Herald, 2000 and two Spitfires.

The trophy for the most desirable car in the rally went to the 1954 TR2 of David Duffy.
