TVG were well represented at the Inter-Club International Weekend with 14 campers in 11 tents and a considerable number taking the soft options of B&B's or hotels. Bob Le Broq tows a trailer behind his impressive TR3 and brought the gazebo and the grill. The grill was important as it enabled David Goswell and Roger Humphries, in full chefs' regaila, to cook full english breakfasts for the happy campers on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The grill was put to further use on Saturday evening when some 32 members, partners and guests sat down to a BBQ. An excellent weekend with lots to see and do, it was great to see so many different car clubs taking part. We owe a big thank you to the orgainising team and all the volunteers.
John Millward writes of a trip to Sussex earlier in June:
Five couples in three TR6s, a TR5 and a TR4a Dove visited TVG’s former Group Leaders, David and Janet Goswell in their new home. David masterminded a five day whistlestop tour of the delights of Suffolk including pretty villages, lovely coast and museums such as the 100th Bomber Group Museum (pictured). Other than one failed alternator, the cars completed the 800 mile trip without problems. We all very much appreciated David and Janets’ hosting and organisation of our stay.
