Grantown on Spey 2014
Grantown on Spey Motormania Sunday 7th September
The Group enjoyed a sightseeing tour to Grantown on Spey on the Saturday with an evening meal in the Garth Hotel, which provided everyone with a chance for a catch up and good food.
Sunday morning began, with a damp start to the day, setting up the Club stand hosted by the Highland Group under the supervision of their leader Steve Smith. Rain on and off did not prevent everyone taking part and having a good weekend. There were 26TR`s on the club stand with a good representation of the various models. Grantown Motormania has many plus points over the other car shows, with the High Street shops being open for lunch and a farmers market. We had a lovely steak and onion burger roll with a can of coke to distract our minds from the less positive weather conditions. Many interesting discussions took place with the TR members ranging from exhaust pipes, tail lamps, the IWE, burgers, and the past years events. If you have not attended this event I would highly recommend it, as it has approx 400 classic cars on show and it is not on a muddy rally field with plenty to help keep the wife happy.
