Out with old in with the new 2024-2025

With 2024 behind us we look forward to what 2025 has installed for us. Again, it was a year that saw the group travel both home and away. After a winter layup, the cars prepped and ready to dust off the cobwebs from their winter hibernation.

First run for me March 2024 Castell-Nedd, Port Talbot South Wales.

Sunday lunch April saw drive it day,

April saw drive it day, 5 TR's inc a Honda S2000 run up to the Brecon and Sunday lunch another good day, Then the main trip for us was next, across the channel a trip to Laon, The 33rd Circuit Historique de Laon is a non-competitive classic car parade and pilgrimage that takes place in Laon, France. A fabulous finale in the old town Laon,

Over night stay at Dover before morning crossing.

Starting to  queue at the ferry port

All aboard safe and sound

Along the journey one of the many sites, a visit to La Coupole V-2 launch installation. It was built by the forces of Nazi Germany between 1943 and 1944 to serve as a launch base for V-2 rockets directed against London and southern England, (history lesson done). The return trip was a stop in Bruges. Fabulous place to visit especially if you love chocolate.

Back in time for our annual local classic car show in Sully, always end of May, one that has always been well supported by the group, a show that raises funds for local charities.

Sully Show 2024

From time to time, we have spur of the moment drives as a group, but our prepared trip next was Malvern international weekend. A very successful weekend it was too, 9 vehicles attended with three cars picking up trophies.

Class wins for these two

Pershore plum festival was next on the cards. A great show, one we hope to attend again in 2025,

Pershore one not to be missed

The next organised trip as a group was, Llanerchindda Farm Sept, where we were joined by new member Rob with his nice white TR6. We shared the weekend with fellow TR’s from Goodwood area, a great venue, some nice local roads to drive around well suited for TR’s.

Wales has some lovely open twisting rd well suited for TR drives

The year finished with change of group leader, our long-standing leader Dave Wiltshire having decided to retire from the position after giving a lot of his time up for the group for more than 10 years, now with Peter taking on the position. It goes without saying that as a group we thank you Dave for your work and support you gave and wish Peter all the best.

Enough of my rambling, I wish you all a safe year of TR drives and enjoyment.

Come and join us.
