Hope you have all been able to get out and enjoy the recent weather, or that it has spurred you on to get the car back on the road again.
A good evening was had at our July meeting when we had a drive out to meet friends from Chiltern group at Worminghall for a meal and drink. Despite a brief shower around 30 TR's of almost all types graced the car park, thanks for the warm welcome and look forward to meeting up again.
We have once again been invited by our friends at the MG Register to bring our cars to join them for their annual picnic at Millets Farm on Sunday 4th August, 10-4. The weather has been kind for the last couple of events we have shared at this venue, with a good range of cars parked on the grass field next to the garden centre, hopefully it will be so again! There are several restaurants and cafes there, as well as the Farm Shop.
Other events in August include Newbury Retro Festival, 9-11th (there might be a spare ticket for a classic car and 2 passengers, pm me if interested); Brill classic and Beer festival, 23-25; White Horse Show, BH Monday 26, which is also the date for the Cowley classic car show this year as it has been moved for the Mini 60 celebrations; and of course our own Triumph Weekend 16-18 at Stratford upon Avon. Let me know if you want to meet up for that, and a reminder the Register are still looking for volunteers to help for an hour or two at the event.
Looking forward to meeting up soon
