Red Rose Bulletin - October 2021

Greetings fellow Red Roser’s

Well after the summer being a bit of a wash out September didn’t disappoint us and was full of sunshine to enjoy the cars in and here at Red Rose we had a very busy month!

September Round Up

A group of intrepid travellers set off to explore the delights of Skye and beyond in the not so sunny Scotland.

The Facebook group was updated every day with stunning photos from Mike and Sian and it looked like everyone had an amazing time with lots of fun and laughter.

A huge thanks to John and Jane Leleu for organising another successful trip.

I am reliably informed that there will an article in a future edition of the TR Action.

Some of those left behind took part in the Antrobus Road Run on Sunday 5th September.

Sadly there was no breakfast in the village hall this year but the run was great as was the weather.

Five cars from Red Rose joined in and it was nice to meet David Sephton and his blue TR4A.

Some of us then had a very nice lunch at Sutton Hall before making our way home.

September 19th was a day we have waited 18 months for! when finally we were able to have our monthly meeting at The Cock @ Budworth. It was a full house and it was lovely to see the return of some old friends and to meet some new ones.

Welcome to Geoff and Gwen who some of you had already met last month at the 50th celebrations and to Dawn and Peter and their yellow TR6.

It was like we had never been away, we enjoyed good food and good company and forgot all about COVID for a few hours.

Jonathan chaired the meeting his own unique style and we had our usual raffle and round up of what we had all been up to and also planned some future events.

Bob is hoping to do the Coast to Coast again next year and we are also looking at a few other ideas for group holidays so watch this space for updates!

The months activities ended with a few Red Rose cars taking part in The Walled Towns Run on Sunday 26th where thankfully it was a tops off day!
