A guided group tour of the museum (of 1 hour 15 min duration) has been arranged, commencing 2.15pm. Min. group size 10. Cost £8. A specific area will be cordoned off for our cars.

The Lion Salt Works is the last remaining open pan saltworks in Marston, near Northwich, Cheshire, England. It closed as a works in 1986 and is now preserved as a museum. It was designated as a world heritage site on August 19, 1986.

Leaving time to view the Heritage Transport Festival (Suggested donation £2) that is taking place at the museum on that day and which closes at 5.00pm.

Visitors can enjoy seeing a range of transport vehicles from the 19th and 20th centuries, including traction engines, miniature steam engines, working narrow boats, vintage cars and commercial vehicles.
