Drive It Day 2018
TR Register members are invited to join Red Rose Group on this year's Drive It Day Run to the Crich Tramway Village on Sunday 22nd April 2018.
We will be meeting at Tesco car park, Hibel Rd, Macclesfield, SK10 2AB at 10am and departing 10:30am prompt for a run through the Derbyshire Peak District to Crich.
For anyone north of the M56 there will also be a pick up point at Lymm services, Cliff Lane, Lymm, WA13 0SP departing 9am prompt for arrival at Tesco Macclesfield for 10am.
Route books / directions to the Tramway Village and Rally Plaques will be available on the day.
The museum contains over 60 trams built between 1900 and 1930 and is set within a period village containing a pub, cafe, old-style sweetshop and tram depots and workshops. Cars will benefit from a dedicated display area within the village and old pennies will be provided on arrival as payment for tram rides through the village into the local countryside and back.
Admission for car and driver is free with passengers benefiting from the discounted entry rate of £10.50 and £7.00 Children (4-15 years).
We will be departing Crich at 3pm prompt returning back through to the Peak District with the option of joining us for a Sunday Roast at The Nights Table Flash SK17 0SN. www.theknightstable.co.uk
Pre booking for the run is not essential although places for the meal are limited and need to be confirmed in advance. So we have an idea of potential numbers it would be appreciated if you could email Jonathan / Caroline at trredrose@hotmail.com to confirm if you are considering attending and/or if you are joining us for the meal on the return run.
