LTRG Celebrate the TR6 Turning 50
The LTRG were out in force for the National TR6 Day held at the Standard Triumph picnic at Wroxall Abbey. The two contingents from the North and South of the county converged on the extensive grass parking area about 15 min apart. Once most cars had arrived Allan Westbury counted 107 TR6 cars then a few more showed up. There were nearly 300 Triumphs from some really nice pre-1940 cars all the way through to an Acclaim. The Stags were well represented.
The weather was just right for a picnic before some dark clouds gathered followed by a brief shower. The TR Register gazebo, bought by Wayne from Didcot, did a good trade in rally plaques, t-shirts and a few books. We even signed up a few new members. After the rain stopped, the sun came back out just in time for another good drive home in country lanes.
