LVG awarded accolades at 2025 AMM

Lea Valley Group and two of its long time members were recognised at the recent TR Register Annual Members Meeting.

The Group were awarded “The Wheelspinner Award”. This was in recognition of a very healthy group, together with the events we organise and support; not least of which was last years “All Triumph Day @ Shuttleworth”. In addition, it was noted how the TRR website is regularly maintained and together with our regular Newsletter, TRunnion, we promote the TR Register in a positive light.

Above shows GL, Phil Sanford accepting the Trophy.

Our TRunnion editor, Chris Glasbey was recognised for his work preparing the newsletter and received the “Web Award”.
Chris has owned his TR3A for around 50 years and is a long time TR Register member. He has been a GL (not of LVG) and has been a LVG committee member for many years. He loves nothing more than driving his TR in a spirited manner and with Pat, his wife he can regularly be seen out and about in his car, always without any wet weather gear (other than waterproof coats).

The TR Register, TR4/TR4A Registrar has until very recently been Jon Marshall.
Jon’s health is not great at the moment and Dave Burgess and Allan Westbury
(TRR Chairman & Director), visited LVG a couple of weeks ago and presented Jon with “The Eddie Holden Trophy”. This was in recognition of everything Jon has done for the Register, including over 30 years as the TR4/TR4A Registrar, a previous LVG Group Leader and long time LVG committee member.

In short, Chris & Jon have devoted many years of their lives to TR’s and TR ownership. Both fully deserve their awards and it is wonderful to see the Registers’ Management Team acknowledging their Triumph TR dedication.
