2018 [Updated 14/8/2018]

Jul.28-29: Triumph Fest - Shelsley Walsh

Aug.1: LVG Wednesday Evening Meeting - The Musgrave Arms, Shillington

This month we are returning to the Muzzy Arms which was for many years LVG's HQ prior to moving to The Cock in 2010. Lynda and I have recently rediscovered this pub and have had several meals there. The current management and locals are friendly and it is what can only be described as a proper, traditional rural pub, the likes of which are fast disappearing or being converted into restaurants or gastro-pubs.

Since Wednesday night is Quiz Night as well as Curry Night, it will be very busy and we don't know how many LVG members will book or just turn up. However, we have spoken to the landlady and she has offered to set up a long table for us in a separate area. Whilst I can personally recommend the curry, the usual menu and bar food will also be available, so if you want to eat, please phone the pub as soon as possible and tell them that you are with the TR Car Club. Those who have been with LVG for a few years will know that the pub has a large car park so those that just want a noggin'n'natter, tyre-kicking evening should also be happy.

I sent out this invitation a few weeks ago and it is proving a popular event.
However, there is still time to book so the i
nvitation with updated menu details is attached.

Sep.5: LVG Wednesday Evening Meeting - Spanish Night

By popular request we are having the third LVG Spanish Night on Wednesday 5th September.

After a couple of weeks communication breakdown with emails, Lynda and I took Bryn (aka Rentadog) for a walk today in Ampthill Park followed by continuation of his pub-training at The Five Bells.

Apart from a good excuse for a very nice lunch, I was able to confirm a provisional booking for 20 people for the next Spanish Night (not yet advertised).

We will have the same room as in previous years which holds about 30, so there should be sufficient room for those who just want to come along for a drink and chat.

These evenings are extremely popular so the pub will be dealing with bookings from locals and the 'Rest of the World' and I have offered to co-ordinate bookings from LVG members.

Please reply directly to this email as soon as possible, confirming names of those wishing to eat - do not book directly with the pub.
