Granma Flew Spitfires

A Talk by John Webster on the Air transport Auxiliary.

Detailing the ATA where about 10% were female.  These ATA pilots flew all variations of aircraft used during world war 2.  An invaluable service allowing the RAF pilots to carry out its fighting roles, while non RAF personnel made sure the valuable wartime aircraft were move strategically around the country.  Around 27 people attended the club night so hopefully we can get similar audiences for future talks.
