Kennet Valley Group Up and Coming 50th+ Anniversary. This has been scaled down but see below.

Hi all,  You may have seen that we have been trying to arrange a trip on the Thames to celebrate the KVG 50th anniversary, but Covid and other issues have left this happening at short notice, which means that some people will have other commitments for July and would have missed it, which would be a great shame.

Therefore we are looking at a Plan B, which is that we still have a boat trip and barbeque this year, but without hiring the Salters steamer, which would have cost £1300.  we will then re-schedule the big event for 2023, and give everyone  12months to clear their diaries.

The replacement day this year will be just as good anyway.

again we will be using the Upper Thames Motor Yacht Club at Sonning as our destination, courtesy of Mike Thomas.

We will still have a run round Berkshire and Bucks, which will be designed to allow as many people as possible to join the run en-route, and we will still have the barbeque on the club lawns by the river.

We will even give you a boat trip, on Mike and Sally's super cruiser, and Linda and Emrhys' 10 seater electric day boat. Between them they will carry 20 people and if we have more entrants then we can have two shorter trips, allowing us to cater for anything up to 40 people. 

The dress code will still be Henley Regatta or Nautical.

The final date is now set at 12th July, 

Initially it will be members only, but as numbers pan out we may expand it.
