Kennet Valley TR Group put on a classic TR display at C4RFest South

Kennet Valley TR Group attended the ever popular car event in the aid of charity, founded by Chris Evans for Children in Need, it has now developed since he joined Virgin Radio into a multi-children charity event. KVG/TRR members contributed £1,064.00 plus whatever you spent over the days.

KVG along with the help of Dave Solomon & Lindsey Holman of Wensum and Wayne Scott & Claire Stenton displayed 6 cars on the Friday and 5 cars on the Saturday/Sunday, unfortunately David & Janet Goswell of Thames Valley had to cancel for the Saturday.

As per norm with C4RFest, there is absolutely loads to do and see, each year it gets better and this year made up for last having brilliant sunshine and high (30C's) temperatures each day. KVG member Christine Flack, wife of Alastair Flack - Hamilton Classics was performing at C4RFest in the Rock Choir doing three gigs throughout the day at various locations around the site.

There were track events with the site, owned by Jodi Scheckter (former F1 driver) who has now installed a complete circuit rather than just one straight, the high light each day was a wonderful collection of F1 cars throughout the ages, there were of course many other car variants displayed and tracked. On display was this super 1939 design Peugeot 202 pickup, believe or not German design.

Other attractions included cooking demonstration by 5 Egon Roney chefs, audiences with stars such as Rob Brydon and a F1 panel including Mark Weber, Adrian Newey, Jodi Scheckter & Zak Brown. And of course some Chef drive too as you can see James Martin here doing his petrol head stuff.

C4RFest is also renown for its music with up and coming bands right through to headliners during the day, but the really popular evening concerts attract massive crowds revelling and enjoying the entertainment.

Headliners such as Rick Astley, Roger Daltry, Culture Club, Kazer Chiefs, Human League & Culture Club to name but a few, here are a couple of short video clips to give you a taste:

Thi is a really great event so why don't you bring your TR next year??
