Kennet Valley TR Group Club night - a MG Midget Quiz

Kennet Valley TR Group members went along to their Noggin & Natter Club night on a sunny August evening, to find a surprise quiz with prize about a 1972 MG Midget.

Long term member Nick Battle, arranged for friend Martin Marwood to bring along his very original and unmolested MG Midget, now properly on the road again. Nick & Martin asked everyone to hazard a guess as to the mileage recorded on the speedometer. Nick provided a prize of Prosecco to the person nearest to the mileage with a competition order pad.

Martin bought the MG 2 years ago for an incredible £1,000 and spent another £1,100 getting her road worthy again, the car still in original paintwork and interior was in great order and an unique example of this very popular British sports car.

Mileage guesses ranged from 3,750 to 80,000 miles and Nick announced the winner with a guess of 8.000 miles as Paul Hickmott, (your making a habit of winning Paul), the car mileage was circa 7,350 from new with paperwork to confirm.

The MG wasn't the only very original car that turned in that night, we also had a 17 year member Tony Shorey came along to his first meeting in his Mimosa TR6, again a very original car that's been in his family since new and he is the proud owner, always glad to see members along to Club night, you are always very welcome.
