Kennet Valley TR Group put TR into Thames TRaditional Boat Festival

Kennet Valley TR Group attended the Thames Traditional Boat Festival, Henley on Thames, this ever popular and long standing boat festival normally only accepts cars pre-1969, however KVG member Mike Thomas arranged with the organiser a special arrangement so cars post this date could attend.

10 KVG cars including 2 Stags attended and 1 Windsor Forest made up the display, amongst the circa 100 classics also on display. We mustered at the entrance at 09:30 so we would get parked together to put on the display.

The Festival is an exciting and fun day out for the whole family, a celebration of all that's best in British boatbuilding and craftsmanship, evoking the nostalgia of boating from a bygone era. This year offering more attractions on the water, in the air and on the land, than ever before.

Featuring the largest display of traditional boats in Europe, the fleet of Dunkirk "Little Ships", and Her Majesty's Rowbarge "Gloriana", there was also a WW1 Tri and Bi Plane air display for all to enjoy.
