Kennet Valley TR Group Members enjoy Classic Saturdays!

Kennet Valley TR Group members are always looking for events to go and a good source is the website Classic Saturdays which lists occasional pub meets in conjunction with West Berks Classic Vehicle Club. Last Saturdays meet was held at the White Hart at Hampstead Norreys. Gerry had got his Stag back on the road after the winter, and as it was such a nice day, Moreen and he decided to go. There were about 20 or so cars including minis, Lotus Elans, Corvette, Morris Minor traveller, TR3, TR6.

They had a very nice lunch in the pub (get there early) but the only down side was the state of the car park – lots of deep muddy puddles.

Sunday saw them both at The Flowing Springs on the Henley Road near Sonning. There were lots of cars of all types, - TR6s, 2 Stags, Spitfire, Lotus Elans, a 1920/30 Vauxhall, Morris 8 tourer, a gold Rolls Royce, E Type, a bare metal Studebaker to name but a few. There were also several motorcycles there.

The pub holds a classic vehicle breakfast meet every second Sunday of the month, 9.30 to 11.30. They didn't eat, but the bacon butties looked very good! We will certainly go again as it is very local to us.
