Kennet Valley TR Group enjoy StockFest & Stockcross Classic car show

Kennet Valley TR Group members enjoy a fine day at Stockcross Classic Car show part of the annual StockFest

The Rare Breeds Tour is a classic car run held on the morning of the Stockcross Classic Car Show and this year's destination was to the coffee shop at The Hawk Conservancy at Weyhill.

Tina and Toney took part in their TR3A before joining other KVG members at the show on the Glebe Field.

There was a great variety of marques and models on show along with live music, a West Berks Brewery bar, food outlets and stalls.

After an overcast start to the day, the sun came out and the warm weather increased sales at the classic ice cream van. and to add to the ambience the various bands played to entertain the crowds.

Organisers issued a HUGE thank you to everyone who has been involved in organising, volunteering, attending and supporting Stockfest 18!

Tony Hersh said "I'm delighted so many events were so well attended. Stockfest couldn't have happened this year without enormous amounts of work from my committee and I would like to give my personal thanks to Maryon Lawry, Felicity Merchant, Dawn Robins, Steve Kirby, Edward Vandyk and Sue Vandyk for all their help over the last 8 months.

Our final financial position won't be known for a week or two but I'll post details of how much we raised for Stockcross and for Newbury and District Cancer Care Trust when I have that information," So thanks again for your support and I would very much welcome feedback on the festival emailed to me at Tony Hersh

Thanks to Karen Woolnough for the photos and report.
