Kennet Valley TR Group has chosen a New Meeting Venue

After 6 month of searching and trying various venues, STAR WARS DAY was the day Kennet Valley TR Group chose their new meeting venue since the closure of the Winning Hand forced the Group to move, a paper ballot was taken (with proxy for members who couldn't attend) for the preference between the three venues tried out, these being Pincents Manor, Calcot, Holiday Inn, Padworth and The Angel, Woolhampton. Members took food, service, ambiance, facilities, car park size/security and location into account to make their decision. The strong majority of KVG members voted for The Angel.

The room at the Angel was a little smaller than we are used too, however, Sandra & Alan Bleeks the landlord & landlady offered to rearrange it to the better next meeting. There a patio just outside for those summer nights where the Angel can provide a BBQ or spit roast as an alternative.

Food, service and attentiveness of the Angel staff was very good, and we have an option of a carvery if we pre-book? The car park is of good size and within easy access of the pub door.

So in it's 46th year, yet another new venue in the KVG history, we look forward to seeing you there on the first Wednesday of the month for the forseable future.
