Glavon Group Visit to Snowshill Manor - 13th April 2025

The first run out of the season attracted 16 cars to the rendezvous at Roots & Seeds, Cirencester for coffee and breakfasts. 

The run then took in some great Cotswolds roads and views via Northleach, Bourton on the Water and north on Buckle Street via Naunton and Temple Guiting to Snowshill Manor.

The quintessentially 'Cotswold' Tudor manor is owned by the National Trust who had arranged reserved parking and tickets for the house and garden.

The property had been purchased in 1919 by Charles Wade who renovated it to house his eclectic collections of quirky and curious objects from bicycles to Samurai costumes and his 'Wolf's Cove' model village. He was fascinated by anything hand-crafted and made with skill, all with three essential criteria in mind; design, colour and craftsmanship.
