Glavon Group at the Standard Triumph Picnic, Walton Hall, Warwickshire - 19th September 2021

Just a handful of Glavon cars journeyed up to Warwickshre for this delightful event in the tranquil lakeside grounds of the very imposing Walton Hall. Earlier rain had given way to warm sunny conditions for everyone to admire the great variety of cars on display, explore the grounds, and catch up with old friends. The TR Register had the largest club display by some margin, but there was a great variety of Standard, Triumph and Standard Triumph cars from the earliest days of the individual marques onwards. There was a hog roast and other catering outlets including one selling very nice ice creams which did a roaring trade. Many people enjoyed picnics sat out in the warm sunshine with friends. A very pleasant day out with thanks to the Pre-1940 Triumph Motor Club who hosted the event.
