Social Scene 356
Bob Moss Writes; Not too much to report since my last report but, we are now moving into spring and the weather has shown some signs of improving, so hopefully you’ve all been out in the garage working on the cars, doing all the things you thought must get this and that done over the winter months ready for when the sun really makes an appearance. I know some of our members have been hard at work, one with the head off his 6 preforming a thorough clean, resealing of valves etc. and Carb overhauls, another with his gearbox out replacing seals etc. in attempt to stop those pesky oil leaks, something that I will be doing in an attempt to stop my leaks before using the 6 this year.
Eight of us ventured down to Limply Stoke for the annual weekend away after Christmas, and this year didn’t dissapoint with great company great food the odd drink or two and a bucket load of laughs, thanks Lesley for the invite.
Your committee has had a recent meeting to discussed plans for the forthcoming season of TRing, and hopefully we will have another great year. We start the season off as we have done for some time now with the Breakfast Meet at Poplars Nursery 1st March 09-30am. Club nights continue to be well attended despite the cold winter nights, even some brave soles out in TR’s.
By the time you read this article we will have had our group AGM at which myself and two other committee members will have stepped down and hopefully new incumbents will have been voted in to replace us. I wish them all the best in their new positions and I’m sure the group will give them their full support.
Thanks all Register members, GL’s and Management team for your support over the last 2 years.
Bob Moss.
Club Nights, First and last Thursday of the month.
Keep up with all things East Saxons on the web.
