Our February event was on Sunday 10th February. Andy & Marlene Newton took us from our usual meeting point to Elvington Air Museum. With a grey day and salt on the roads many were in their non-TRs, although we did have a line-up of 2 x TR5s sandwiching a TR250. We also had a big Healey visitor. At the airfield we had an interesting talk and tour before lunch in the NAAFI. The aircraft cover the whole spectrum of aviation. Their Halifax has now been painted up on one side to represent a Halifax which flew with the Free French 346 Guyenne Squadron. This Squadron had a rabbit with a knapsack as its logo, and flew operations with their live rabbit mascot! So it isn’t just the English who are a little mad! Thanks for organizing a winter trip out Andy & Marlene.
