TR Action 310

Devon Group continue to be busy and making the most of the extended sunshine, and we managed to fit in an extra event last month, following the kind invitation from Dorset Group to join them on a visit to the Mortonhampstead Motor Museum. This was followed by a very nice carvery lunch at the nearby hotel when there was the chance for a number of members to catch up with Dorset friends and we look forward to the more similar outings in the future. Thanks to Paul Gibson for making it happen. This was quickly followed with our planned event for a scenic drive up through the Exe Valley and to enjoy some of the sights of Exmoor, after meeting for coffee and afterwards for lunch too. Thanks to Jennie for arranging this one.

Next it was down to the south of our County with a return to The Mussel Inn for lunch, again after an excellent drive down through the A & B -roads and avoiding the 'Devon Expressway'.Popular enough to fill the venue and we were also joined by a couple of nearby TR owners also looked in to say hi and have a chat. Another most enjoyable day out, so thank you to John & Mo who made the arrangements.

I am writing this report on the day of our Devon Group AGM. As well as covering the formal proceedings for the local group arrangements, I hope to have made it an enjoyable evening with a slide show of some of our outings from this year, along with a little quiz, prize draw and the award of our clubman's Christie Trophy too, so I hope you were able to join us.

Coming up next month we've got our Christmas lunch researched and arranged by Derek & Janet with once again, a bumper attendance. So, another popular event.

Looking ahead, I've published our 2019 DRAFT programme on the Devon TR Register pages, so please do have a look. There are a number of headline events in the programme, along with our clubnights, starting in February, so please have a look and also look out for updates and the emails from me. If you're not getting emails from me, please do get in touch so that I can keep you up to date with our events as they approach, my details are in this magazine as well as on the TR Register Devon page. Updates from me also include copies of our In the Garage newsletter where Andrew collates a number of stories from fellow members where we're busy fixing or improving our cars ready for the next season.

Until then, may I wish you a very pleasant Christmas and a Happy New Year and I look forward to seeing you at one of our events in 2019.
