The Stay at Home Motor Show, Sunday, 3rd May, 2020
With the 'lock down' measures in place due to the Covid-19 virus. the Federation of British Historic Vehicles Club (FHBVC) organised a 'Stay at Home Motor Show': Classics for Carers on Sunday 3 May 2020 as an alternative to Drive It Day and as a fund raiser for the NHS. The Derbyshire Dales Steering Group decided that the Group should support the event but with 100% of the money raised to go directly to charity. After some discussion, it was felt that the best way forward would be for members to take a photo of their car on the Sunday , on their drive, in the garage, in whatever state it was in on the day, ( some cars are a ‘work in progress’!), and send any money raised or donated, via our Treasurer David Sygrove, to the 'NHS Charities Together'. A grand total of £280 was raised! Photographs were submitted by Alan Ford, Alan Hawley, Alan Jones, Barry Cockayne, Chris Thirtle, Malcolm Prosser, Martin Flanders, Penny Heath, Peter Sloss, Phil Kirk, Simon Scargill, Simon Cowling, Steve Buxton and Bob Griffiths. Thanks to Maggie Sloss for co-ordinating the event.
