Minutes of the Annual General Meeting of Cumbria TR Group held on Sunday 2nd February 2025 at the Crooklands Hotel

Present: John Morrison - Group Leader, Dave Couling Secretary, Anne Marie Whitehead-Secretary, Peter Bonsall - Membership Co-ordinator, Mark Dillon - Website plus 16 ordinary members

1. John welcomed everyone to the meeting. There were apologies from 6 other members. He thanked Peter for organising the day and co-ordinating with the hotel.

2. The Minutes of the last Annual General Meeting held on 4th February 2024. The acceptance of the Minutes was proposed by Judith and seconded by Graham. John signed the Minutes as a true record.

3.Treasurer's Report - Dave Couling gave out copies of the club accounts for the year ended 31st December 2024. He said that the accounts were healthy with about £3000 in the bank. Acceptance of the accounts was proposed by Jim and seconded by Neil.

4. The Club Officers - John thanked all the officers of the club for all their hard work through the year. He said that they and all the members contributed to an amazing car club with a fantastic atmosphere. Graham proposed a Vote of Thanks and this was seconded by Anita.

5. Review of Events in 2024 - John gave a resume of all the wonderful runs and events held over 2024.

6. Programme for 2025 -

• 2nd March - Peter & Nan, meeting at Rheged, Peter will lead us to Borrowdale.• 6th/7th April - Welsh weekend with Mark & Anita• 27th April/4th May -Group trip to IOM by Peter & Nan• May 8th - Appleby Rotary Club Rally• 1st June - Christine Wilson Memorial run with Steve and Ros• 19th June - Run to Wray with Paul Higgins• July 12th - TR Fest Antrobus NW Event• 3rd August - Dales run with Graham• 4th/9th September - Group trip to Ireland with Graham• 5th October - Autumn Leaves run with Mark & Ann• 3rd November - Planning Day with lunch @ Crooklands• 6th December - Posh Nosh @ Lyzzic Hall• 1st Jan 2026 - New Year's Day run• 1st Feb - AGM

7.The proposal to award a complimentary lunch @ Posh Nosh to members who have organised events and runs - This was proposed by Mark Sindle and seconded by Anita.

8. AOB -

• IOM trip - Peter said that final invoices need to be paid by 16th March. Between 15/16 members will be going. Peter informed members that the IOM operates a reciprocal heath system but not repatriation.• John informed members that the TR IT system was about to be changed and upgraded• The National TR AGM is to be held at Gayden on 16th March• Stoneleigh will happen as usual later this month

9. The Raffle was drawn and this raised £64 towards club funds.

10. Awards - After the voting slips had been counted, the Chris Harrison-Beck trophy for The Day to Remember was awarded to Mark and Anita, the Neville Theaker Award went to John and the TRy Harder Award went to Mark Sindle.
