Today's Drive It Day outing. to Robin Hood's Bay

A quick note to report on a really good outing for Drive It Day today. We all met at Stokesley, where we were joined by a good contingent of cars from Northumbrian Group. Very nice to see some new members in Cleveland Group, and also some members we havn't seen for a little while. Hope you all enjoyed the outing, particularly the convoy run to Robin Hood's Bay. I'm sure we were a much better spectacle for the locals, than the forthcoming Tour De Yorkshire, whatever that is!

Many of us enjoyed the local fish and chips, and a visit to the Coastguard Station (woops - we advertised that as the RNLI station before the outing!).

We were invited by Northumbrian Group to call in at the Sneaky Fox at Scaling Dam, which is nearing the end of its refurbishment. The line of TR's lined up in front of the pub attracted a few complimentary horn blows from other passing classics enjoying their own Drive It Day outing. Thanks to Bryan Archer and his Northumbrian Group for the invite.

Don't forget about our forthcoming events, which are listed on the website. Quick reminder about the Gibson Motorsport event, which is fast approaching on May 12. If you would like to go, you need to contact Trevor very soon so he can complete arrangements.

Also, please remember the next Tuesday meeting is NOT at our usual venue, but at Tree Bridge (post code TS7 0NS), as detailed by Allen in the minutes of the last meeting.

You may have noticed on our TR Register web page that there is now a link to a TR Register Cleveland Group Facebook page. I have to admit, its not working quite right yet. I believe you may have trouble finding it. It will be something I've done wrong no doubt, but you can try finding it here. If you find it, please click to join us. If the link doesn't work for you, and you would like to join, please send an email to me at this address.

Happy TR'ing.
