APRIL MEETING AND PROPOSED OUTINGS

Hi everyone,

Firstly, I have not had many respond to the intention of holding our April Monthly meeting at The Angel Inn at Topcliffe when we will meet up with Jim Johnstone and hopefully others from the south of the Cleveland area! So far it is Cameron and Jan, Ian and Christine and myself. If you are going and plan to eat then please consider that the formal part of the evening will start at 8.30 pm. Please let me know if it is your intention to join us?

Secondly, Trevor has been out and about researching visits and has come up with the following: He has visited and was very impressed with the Gibson Motor Racing garage at Lower Dinsdale. The complex is over 3 floors and they have a number of racing cars on two levels, the third being a workshop where besides other things they do resprays using products not normally considered but with guaranties that the finish will not chip. The visit would take about 4 hours and includes a bacon sandwich and drink. The tour will cost £15 per person. We need 16 people for the visit which would be arranged probably on a Sunday in April but avoiding Drive it Day. If we don't get the numbers from our TR group then we will publicise it for MDMC members.

Trevor is still waiting an update from the Darlington "E" Type garage with a view of visiting their premises where they rebuild "E" type cars!
