Social Scene Report 302
Hi Fellow followers. Well that's another year nearly over and the cooler weather approaching. We can now catch up with those jobs to the cars in readiness for next year. I am afraid not an awful lot has happened within the club since last writing other than having to move one of our meetings to a new hostelry due to The Three Horse shoes closing. We have moved to The White Hart at Warboys which seems to satisfy our needs and is only two miles from The Three Horse Shoes.
On 20th October we embarked on a very successful weekend away in the New Forest kindly very professionally arranged by Tracy, (see photo) and Phil Core. We thank them for a most enjoyable trip despite the weather. This included a visit to the New Forest Centre Museum, a visit and wine tasting at the Setley Ridge Vineyard, followed by a visit to Bucklers Hard which was very interesting and was to include a boat trip. his however had to be cancelled due to the high winds.
On the Sunday we enjoyed a good part of the day at The National Motor Museum at Beaulieu. As a point of interest, one could hire a TR6 for the weekend from a nearby garage for the princely sum of £475.00. We then journeyed to The Ringwood Brewery where we were given a tour which ended in their "Mini Pub" to sample their wares. We departed with a bottle of their Best and a tankard for each of us. Monday saw a visit and train ride at Exbury Gardens before returning home. The choice of Hotel, namely The St Leonards at Ringwood was good. We were looked after very well and dined together each evening where the days exploits were discussed over a beer or two.
By the time you read this we will have held our AGM and Christmas Dinner so watch this space!
