AGM's, Club Night, not The Christmas Christmas Dinner and Breakfast 2019
Sally and I attended the TR AGM at Sywell last Sunday, and what a venue, well worth a visit if you are nearby to look at the architecture, the Museum and learn of the history of this important place in UK aviation history.
The main news is that Allan Westbury was elected as the Chairman of the register, more local news is that Dave Solomon (GL Wensum Group) has been elected as East Director. Well done and hope to see him at our meetings. The coveted trophy of Pratt of the Year Award went to Wayne Scott for managing to get locked in a shower cubicle at the International event!! All other news of the AGM will be covered in TR Action.
Our own AGM will be Tuesday 8th of January at The Manger Bradfield Combust IP30 0LW starting at 8.00 pm. This is your chance to have your say on the Group. We will be voting for the approval of the accounts and as I have had no nominations at present, the continuing incumbents of Treasurers, Show Organiser, Quiz Master, April Showers and Autumn Leaves organisers and the new post of media man, currently held by Vince on a nominal basis.
The decision that needs to be made is who do you, the members, wish to have as your Group Leader. If anyone wishes to discuss this role with me then please feel free to give me a ring, 01787282176.
Club Night on 11th December will be to discuss events in 2019 that we wish to participate in, there will be the old favourites and maybe some new possibilities.
Talking of 2019 there is a planned breakfast meet on Sunday 23rd of June at Haynes International Museum Sparkford entitled The Great TR breakfast Meet, if you are interested please let me know.
Finally we have the Not The Christmas Christmas Meal on Friday 18th of January at The Manger, if you have not already let me know and you wish to attend give me a ring or e mail me.
