PodOne Posted February 4 Report Share Posted February 4 Had the same experience with cheapo Dyson batteries lasting a few months but at £70 a pop it's not surprising folk try them first. How they justify the price is beyond me surely if they want to "save the planet" then either make them last 5 -10 years or just make 240v versions. I know what I'd choose. Lebro Posted February 4 Report Share Posted February 4 I got a "spares or repair" hand held Dyson vacuum cleaner off ebay a few years ago. it had a blown Mosfet, which once replaced fixed it. But the battery life was very short (around 30 seconds !) I purchased a "compatible" battery, again from ebay, I forget the price, but it wasn't a lot. Been fine ever since, from fully charged to empty - around 5 mins continuouse (although it never is continuous). I guess I was lucky. Bob Quote Link to post Share on other sites
