Technology gone crackers

Had the same experience with cheapo Dyson batteries lasting a few months but at £70 a pop it's not surprising folk try them first. How they justify the price is beyond me surely if they want to "save the planet" then either make them last 5 -10 years or just make 240v versions. I know what I'd choose.

We were lucky, the £30.00 battery didn’t work at all so we sent it back to Amazon and got a full refund.

I got a "spares or repair" hand held Dyson vacuum cleaner off ebay a few years ago. it had a blown Mosfet, which once replaced fixed it. But the battery life was very short (around 30 seconds !) I purchased a "compatible" battery, again from ebay, I forget the price, but it wasn't a lot. Been fine ever since, from fully charged to empty - around 5 mins continuouse (although it never is continuous).  I guess I was lucky.
