Malbaby
Dash Top Crash Pad - Foam Backed Vinyl - No Hole for Ashtray - 904115. An unfortunate choice by me...I should have bought a more expensive one. The contour of the front does not match the dash fascia top [looking front on from the driver's seat], and the contour of the front outside section looking from above as in pic, is not wide enough, and exposes the top of the fascia. The pad is sitting in the correct forward/back position, and yes, I should have checked the fascia in position, prior to fixing the pad in position. Bottom line...Don't try and save some money by buying this one.
RogerH
Hi Mal, both Rimmer and Moss sell a cheap and nasty dash top. Moss also sell the more expensive top. However the go to shop for this and almost everything else is the TRShop in Chiswick London UK If you are going to buy cheap make sure the item stays in the boot under an upturned bucket. Why do the suppliers sell such rubbish Roger
trchris
Agree with Roger why do they sell such rubbish Chris

harrytr5
It was put to me years ago that the TR World would not pay for quality parts but always went for the cheapest. Now it was explained they love selling the cheapest as they sell more and the next owner replaces that part over and over. Quality parts remain on the shelf longer. True or not who knows. Rob Salisbury
Hi Mal, The top from The TR Shop is as close to the original as you can get, in my 4A it fitted like a glove, I didn't have to glue it anywhere, held in place by the lower screen rubber, screen brackets, screen vents and the dashboard and looking near perfect nearly 4 years later, the part's a good 'un. Cheers Rob
stuart
The TR Shop ones are as stated as near as makes no odds to the originals and FWIW originals weren’t glued down either as they’re sufficiently trapped by the screen frame/demist vents and the steel dash too. I’ve just removed one that has never been dismantled from new and it just came straight off once every thing was removed. Stuart
