Cambsguy
Looking to maybe buy a wind deflector for my TR6, anyone have any recommendations please? Can they be fitted and used with the seat belt hub situated on the inner rear wheel arch? Many Thanks
Steve-B
I bought one off of the For Sale section a while back for £70 and it was well worth it! It was a doodle easy-as to fit, and doesn't impair the hood nor the seat belt hubs whatsoever. SWMBO is very pleased in cooler weather to not have so much air in the cockpit... Pete E
I was looking at this a while ago but I have a roll bar attached and I couldn't see a way of getting around it without removing the roll bar. I did think of making some kind of mesh sock that would fit over the roll bar and attach with magnets but that was as far as I got unless there is another solution out there. Pete Pete, if you still have a hood, the mount goes onto the bolt that the bottom of the hood is on, so it's a right doodle to attach. If you don't have a hood yet still have those holes and they're free from the bar it seems, subject to your checking it could work. An option might be to contact a lady named Jill Judd in W. Sussex, who is primarily a sail maker but does lots of 1/2 hoods, etc for Sevens as I know Jill can make darn near anything with measurements. In your case you're really wanting a meshed "condom" style thingie with velcro to hook it up I'd guess so it stays put.
Steve 286
Pete I have a roll bar on mine and made a frame up using copper fuel pipe and got a friend who is a car upholstery trimmer to fit a mesh and Velcro straightforward fitment and zero cost
Pete E
Thanks to both Steves, the option for the velcro loops was something I had thought about as it is quickly removed. I did make a hardboard template and fastened it on with tie wraps but didn't notice much difference apart from not being able to see rearwards Pete

PS> with our deflector which is immediately behind our seats, SWMBO says it has reduced by 80%+ breeze on her neck. Perhaps your roll bar being a bit further back yields a lower result Pete.
