H&H Auction TR250

Recommended Posts

Hmm car has some shall we say "Interesting" features which together with the lack of overdrive makes the price about right, its a bit of a mix and match. Was original Royal Blue with black trim.

Yes

Some Tr4A & Reproduction parts fitted and definitely needs a bit of fettling/finishing inside.

I had a mate attend hoping to buy a Series 3 Land Rover but he was outbid, he said the Tr250 was very nice.

Is there a reason the bonnet lateral brace is closed off? Never seen that before...

I would say its been capped, looks like the original behind it.

Interesting that the Ebay listing says Private seller, but a little digging shows:

That bonnet has all been apart presumably to clean it up, looks like a new lower ‘u section’ which hasn’t had the holes cut and edged back into it … and just not welded together all that well.

I’ve just done a another works replica bonnet with an alloy skin and a steel frame starting from what was quite a nice standard bonnet and even pulling the frame from a steel one apart to blast is a good deal of work. Lots of hours in that bonnet, but just not quite the big cigar.
