Forum button not working

Recommended Posts

Bit of an odd thing today, I have a bookmark for Alex Inn on my tablet which works fine but to access other pages by using the Forums button I get an error message.

I expect some changes have been made during maintenance and the Forums button was missed during the system checking

If you go to the main site and click on menu>theclub>forums you still get that message so there is a broken link somewhere.  Work in progress I assume.

The forums were missing most of the day but my usual direct bookmark link (https://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index.php?/discover/)  started to work again late this afternoon.

The server had crashed. Wayne and Duncan rebooted it. It worked fine for a while, then crashed again. They tried a few more times with the same result. They then had to look deeper into the reason for the crash. I have not heard what the solution was but at least they fixed it for now.

Many thanks to the pair of them.

Thanks for the more detailed explanation Mick, we all knew it was down all day but there was more to it.
