Andrew Smith Posted November 5 Report Share Posted November 5 Thank you folks for my birthday wishes; it's nice to be 54 again, and again, and........ I had a great birthday weekend spent with my family and Roger Hinds (Pogo) stayed over on Sunday night (in a spare room!!) before driving back to Manchester on Monday morning, so it was good to catch-up with Rog and chat about TRs and life in general. Update on me: I had a total knee replacement in July (Mako robotic arm surgery) and the new joint and physio is doing very well. Unfortunately, I've got an infection in my shin bone (where they drilled into it as part of the procedure) so I'm going back into hospital on Friday 8 Nov where they will sort it out followed by a 10 day stay. Not the news I wanted, but once it's done and healed fully I can look forward to driving VUX and riding my motorbikes again, in that priority order. Anyway, here's a few photos taken back in July just prior to my op when I visited Gilbert White's house and gardens in Selborne, Hants with a friend; it was a very strange feeling after over 4 years to have a passenger in VUX who wasn't Bev.
