RogerH
Why is it so hard to place photo's on the classified ad's section . I gave up. Roger
phil Dean
yes I have the same problem but no problem on a post for the forum. Nice car Roger
brenda
That’s a shame the blue racer has to go after all your hard work, but I’m sure a new owner will have lots of fun in a Very nice looking TR. Mike Redrose Group.
RogerH
Thanks Mike. I'm n ow waiting for that lucky buyer. It really is a good price for what is there. Roger
TorontoTim
Good luck with the sale, Roger. You have spent a huge amount of time and effort on this car and entertained us all with the takes along the way. If I didn't already have a classic waiting for me in the UK, I'd be VERY interested. T
RobG
A lovely looking car. How much interest have you had ? I ask as my car is a scruffy rat look and if I wanted to sell it I notice a lot of really nice cars for sale but rarely a scruffy one needing a bit of work. It would sell for a lower price than yours but surely more than a US import needing restoration. Or should I follow you and try to make it a wonderful example. Though I do not have your skills so would have a lot to learn. Edited May 31 by RobG Speling
RogerH
Hi Rob, that looks fine. I would leave it alone (unless there is a glaring no no). Apart from two early possibilities there has been no interest. Roger

Roger Open two tabs. Log in to both areas ie forum and classifieds. Find the photos in this forum through your attachments and cross paste. I think that’s what I have done anyway. Yes a glitch is the best description. This is notable by the lack of photos on adverts in classifieds. One for the office? Edited May 31 by BlueTR3A-5EKT
RobG
Roger, Thanks, does look fine from a distance, but I have rebuilt the inner bodytub with new panels, yet the exterior panels are all in original paint so close up it needs a full paint job. Scruffy interior with no carpets or hood so bit more to do for someone to finish. It appears to me that the market in these cars has stalled as there are quite a few that have been advertised for quite a few months. If you were to advertise globally I would be interested to know which classifieds you would recommend as I do not want to go down the ebay route. Rob Edited May 31 by RobG Added picture of scruffy interior

A friend who buys and sells older cars says the interest and more likely sales of what are lovely finished cars is those with ‘track day’ potential. So fit a rollover bar, etc. and spec. to be urged around a track but leave otherwise lovely to look at, is perhaps the formulae Edited May 31 by BlueTR3A-5EKT
RogerH
At last I have managed to get the Classified Ad' live on the system. It would appear that I did not fill in a required field. However there is only one photo uploaded. Roger
Tom Fremont
It's a beauty, Roger and the price friendly. Love the 4A seats and what an amazing hood fit, colour as well - very fetching. How did you decide which one to sell? Cheers, Tom
RogerH
Hi Tom, thanks for the complements The 4A is mine for life. Too much blood and sweat spilled during the build. The BlueRacer is just a car to me. I think it is actually a better car. But the 4A needs me. Roger Edited May 31 by RogerH

RobG
I have been keeping an eye on the Tr4/A's for sale lately and is it my imagination or has the market for these stalled. I notice quite a few really decent cars in £18-£22k area just not shifting, are prices stuck ? A few years ago these would have been snapped up. RobG
RogerH
Hi Rob, I've been to a couple of shows recently (Harpenden Herts. yesterday) and a good number of people stopped to chat but had no intention of buying. There was one chap towards the end that seemed keen and took one of my flyers with him. Will he follow it up !!!!!! Roger
RobG
Roger, I am very impressed with your approach to selling your car. Excellent advert presentation and photos, going to relevant shows and even having flyers as takeaways. I am just astonished at the lack of interest. I was contemplating selling mine, albeit at a much less price than yours, but I am dismayed at how difficult it is to now sell these cars. Have you contemplated somewhere like Anglia Car Auctions, where they seem to have a wide client base and often (but not always) get good prices ? RobG
ianc
Interesting to compare Roger's excellent blue TR4, which I viewed at Malven, with a rather nice red, LHD, TR4 being advertised by Top Marques Deluxe Car in Bassano del Grappa, Vicenza. Asking 35k Euros - a lot more than the TR4 Roger is askingl. I think that the red TR4 is lacking a strap for its battery. As others have mentioned, if I didn't already own 4VC, I would buy Roger's blue TR4, even though it has wire wheels ! Ian Cornish
james christie
If the price of any classic car is expensive here in France, the prices asked in Italy beat all the records!! james
brian -r
Being unable to give either of my classics the use they deserve ,in a dark moment I considered moving them on, so have been watching prices for the last 9 months and have noticed a distinct drop in auction estimates, prices achieved and numbers sold. I think values outside of dealer asking prices have dropped about 20% this year, with many not selling at their usual rate. Gave me the required kick up the backside so they will be staying , even a half hour now and again is worth the upkeep just for the smile on my face. My thought is that for anyone trying to sell privately or at auction it is a difficult time. Brian
trchris
Unfortunately prices have dropped just look at 6s very good ones are fetching £15-16000 and there’s plenty for sale so buyers market at the moment maybe things will improve Chris
