BlueTR3A-5EKT
I am in experiment mode Have just ordered a couple of momentary type toggle switches that may fit the pear shaped overdrive switch housing on a TR3A, in a better way than the SPDT micro/mini switch I have currently fitted. It has an adult toggle to operate compared to the micro/mini switch.
james christie
I quite like this idea although it looks a tad fragile. The overall length is 13cm so The stalk is probably about 11cm - enough to be within reach of a finger with a hand on the steering wheel https://www.racingmotorshop.fr/carrosserie-eclairage/electricite/interrupteur-et-prise/10649-interrupteur-a-impulsion-tige-ronde-2-positions.html?gad_source=4&gclid=CjwKCAjw5v2wBhBrEiwAXDDoJYXJP8PojY0yUnjCJhR8KcYorfipv0O-cnbVq3uriprf1uTBq3GBghoCmaUQAvD_BwE james Edited April 17 by james christie

james christie
If I translate directly it’s an impulse switch, the gubbins says it comes back to its initial position. At least I hope that is what it does! james
Lebro
This sort can easily be fitted inside the TR3- 3A overdrive switch housing https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/266435708679?var=566244560570 These photos are of a center biased two way switch, but the single way biased switch above will fit just the same. stuart
I have one of these momentary switches spare if anyone requires one, they are a bit hard to find with decent length stalks these days Stuart
TorontoTim
Hey Roger: any reason that these would not work on an LH-type overdrive...? Tim
RogerH
Hi Tim, can't think of a reason why it would not fit. It is the same escutcheon. The lever could be extended by cutting in half what is there and fitting a tube over the two halve of whatever length. I do this on badly corroded original switches Roger
