Cockpit body mounts

Recommended Posts

Looking at the Moss web site the 4 cockpit body mounts ( 2 square, 2 angled) have the steel backing plate directly against the chassis, and 2 rubber mounts stacked on top of each other, the ones I pulled off the chassis had the steel plate sandwiched between the rubber mounts, which one is correct please ?

As you pulled it off your chassis.

Correct, the steel plate should go between the rubbers, however it depends on how you need to adjust the amount of shims to suit the levelling process, it maybe that you need to delete one or other rubber/steel shim to get the best level but make sure you dont have metal to metal anywhere.

Stuart.
