Have anyone heard of the TRGB Choke cable conversion?

I am sick of the poor quality of the choke cables. They are expensive and lousy. I have found that in the www:

The TRGB one looks identical, it may of course be supplied by him.

Sorry not for me, yet another unnecessary complication. Twin cable for me all day long but not repro's though. Originals are out there.

Well, I have tried to get NOS. But did not get any. I bought 3 replicas - all **** and expensive. Then even the replicas were out of stock for years and I repaired one by myself. That cable lastet longer than any of the replicas. So I will try this conversion kit. But - if you can get me an NOS I am interested.

I would try the TR Shop in London - they always seem to have what is often unobtainable elsewhere - and I have found them to be nice people to deal with.

If you give someone like Speedograph a template of the original choke cable, they will make you up a robust item.

Fred Millturn supplies TR GB, but if you look at both websites and compare TR GB do not load the prices from their supplier.

Speedy cables will repair original cables. I had an original that had to he wrong length cables ( for carbs, not PI), and they reworked it to the correct spec for me.Much better than poor quality reproductions.

I have only replicas, not worth to spend any more penny on it.

With a bit of care it is a simple enough job to repair the cables oneself.  I picked up 2 cables (inner and outer) from the local bike shop for £5.

As an aside the kit Martin aka Fred Millturn supplies looks to be really good quality, I haven't got one but a few friends have and are pleased with with it.

I did it the same way. But the knob and the part for regulation and locking is from the replica-scrap. So it make no sense for me to repair it again that way.
