John Morrison
Very sobering, and yes a shame. Does anyone know the car, and therefore the owner, be nice to offer some consolation, maybe even help? John.
Gavia
Very sad indeed. Condolences to the owner. Would be interesting to know the cause.
Waldi
Very sad, it could happen to all of us. Imagine…. I think I have done everything to reduce the possibility of a fire…. Nevertheless this triggers me to install a good fire extinguisher in my TR6. Waldi

Hamish
That’s very sad and I bet quite scary I doubt that even if it had had an mot it would have picked any warning signs as fuel lines not a check I don’t think. I’m guessing it’s fuel line related. I know of a TR3a fire and the owner said that their extinguisher (hand held version in the car for competition reasons) hardly touched it. Now has a full plumbed in system.
multipletriumphsinner
I recently had the Weber air filters catch fire on my GT6. No worries thought I, I'll just whip out the hand held fire extinguisher I had previously nicked from one of my other Triumphs and put it out. What I didn't know, or notice was that a PO had drilled the safety pin, and put a split pin in it.
